the road less traveled, so they said, would lead to better things
so i maintained my freedom and avoided diamond rings
but i grew up so slowly, did so little in my prime
a youthful indiscretion now i'm old before my time
old before my time
never knew being wrong was a curse
or being right all along, which is worse
the price you pay for it all, being first ... in line
a youthful indiscretion made me old before my time
lurking in the shadows makes it hard to see the light
the difference of a winter's day from a summer's night
the consequence of standing still while others make their time
a youthful indiscretion's now an everlasting crime
