laughing and we both were feeling fine
wonders they are all around, they're in the air and on the ground
wonder what on earth that she will find
daddy will you push me in the swing
daddy can you make the robins sing
daddy can i love you all the time
well ... that's just fine
parent's day at middle school, i'm trying hard to be so cool
smiling as we all stand there in line
worried what her friends would think
and would i cause her heart to sink
and then she gave me her little sign
dad this silly boy just smiles and begs
daddy can i start to shave my legs
dad you know you're still my valentine
well.... that's just fine
on her graduation day, my little girl has gone away
a women stands before me, oh so fine
she met a man and planned her schemes
fulfilling all her hopes and dreams
forever loving, handsome, and kind
daddy now i know his heart is true
daddy now you know he's alot like you
daddy i just have to make him mine
well.... that's just fine
